Hi,
I tried to mke2fs from lnx-bbc in another partition to clone my working woody
partition.
Then I copied all the files with cpio (cpio -pdmuv), changed the fstab and
mtab.
When I tried to boot the new partition init fail because the wrong release of
e2fsck couldn't check the filesystem.
I tried to e2fsck from my working woody: same problem.
I mke2fs from woody to the new partition and clone back all the files trough
lnx-bbc: it worked!
Is mke2fs buggy or there is not compatibility with the old version?

I used mke2fs without option (mke2fs /dev/newpartition).

Saluti
