I seem to recall that the operating system itself was called MOS,
which expands to Machine Operating System, or something along those
lines.  The machines had an implementation of BASIC called BBC BASIC
and were sold as the BBC Microcomputer Models A, B and B+, along with
the Master System and Master Compact.  I believe the A3000, which was
an Archimedes series machine, was also branded as a BBC Microcomputer.
