But for that real novice, Knoppix has the space to be much more friendly and pretty than we ever will. The counterpoint is that the only reason we ever put that goofy "EXPERTS ONLY" message on login was because people at Linuxcare were freaked out about liability. They worried about lawsuits from people who dd'd their winchesters and wanted their data back. It's tough to remember this, but you don't need to be a Macintosh to be user-friendly.
