If it's on the BBC, you'll want to configure it through the "specify" option of trivial-net-setup. It's not listed among the selected drivers, nor is it autoloaded. However, I don't recall if the tg3 is on the 2.1 image (it should be, it's been in the kernel tree since 2.4.16). If it's there, it'll work. You'll just have to manually specify it.
