Kindly excuse the top post, I'm at work and I'm using what I've got. :-)

Interesting comment about your being aware of the reverse of my problem on
some machines. It would seem that in moving to 3.4 from 3.3, KNOPPIX was
motivated at least in part by reports of problems of my variety. And, truth
be know, I have no conception of what Peter Arvin has to say about this
matter.

So by your comments I'm to assume that isolinux is the at-the-moment choice
of LNX-BBC? I reasoning deductively, of course. My problem with the livecd
is explained if this assumption is verified. I can try the livecd on one of
my workstations, I suppose, just to look but I'd very much prefer to see it
where it was slated for use, the PII webserver in question.

I'll look for your reply.
