I have been using the lnx-bbc for years and it is great. I have come
across a problem though when I tried to use it on an AMD-K6 CPU. It
booted OK but when trivial-net-setup runs dhcpcd it crashes with
"Illegal instruction". I don't know where the problem is (kernel,
glibc, dhcpcd) but I assume it is using an instruction not supported by
athlon. strace failed inside or near and open call.

I configured the interface by hand which worked and I am currently
running my disk image tool which seems to be working.

This is the only K6 I have got so if it works by hand it won't be a
problem but it might be something to fix or put in the faq.

John.
