Hi,

I tried to convert the CVS repository at
:pserver:[email protected]:/lnx-bbc to another version
control system to work a bit on it. I totally failed because of the
very strange layout of that CVS repository... The presence of the
CVSROOT directory hints that the root of that CVS repository lies in
:pserver:[email protected]:/lnx-bbc and has no modules,
so the correct checkout command would be:

cvs -d :pserver:[email protected]:/lnx-bbc co .
or even
cvs -d :pserver:[email protected]:/lnx-bbc co -d lnx-bbc ""

which makes CVS very uncomfortable with the resulting expanded paths and
so every conversion tool fails... Maybe we could change to some other
version control tool now, when the repositories don't have very much
history... (On the other hand it would certainly nice to import some of
the history of the project into a new repository) Personally I'm very
fond of Darcs: http://darcs.net/ and the darcs-for-cvs-users-page:
