Quoting Paul Gray ([email protected]): > If you know Duncan, I've been trying to establish dialog with him about > relinquishing the DNS for the domain. (He's the billing/tech/admin contact in > the whois registration). I know Duncan, have his cellular number, and can reach him... occasionally. He's incredibly busy with the rebuild from the ground up of his house in San Francisco, to the point where he's been unable to spare the time to fix his Internet server, which has been down and bouncing all his e-mail for the past 6+ months. I've actually promised to build and drive up to him a replacement drop-in-ready Debian server as a gift (hey, I owe him), once I've completed my own server rebuild. The point is, he's _that_ busy, and he's _that_ unable to deal with Internet matters at the moment -- probably. I note that (1) he has the domain at Joker.com (which is fine), and (2) we're OK until Feb. 2007, which is the next expiration on lnx-bbc.org . (There is also .com, further out.) I think I can at least get the domain _access_ from Duncan, and make sure we can update the domain records as needed. I hope that will be good enough for now? Duncan's a reliable custodian for the domain(s) in most respects, and his Money Pit misadventure won't last forever, I hope -- but we will have to watch for expirations, and be prepared to make sure renewal happens.
