New Contributor: Looking for Guidance on Getting Started with coreboot + OSFF

Hi everyone,

I'm Piyush Patle, a sophomore from Mumbai University, passionate about
embedded systems and firmware development. I've recently started exploring
coreboot and was excited to see the momentum around open firmware and
community collaboration.

I've also been reading about the OSFF initiative and the new feature
request process, and I’m really interested in understanding how a young
contributor like me could get involved meaningfully — whether through
documentation, testing, tooling, or something deeper as I learn more.

If anyone could point me toward beginner-friendly tasks, open bugs, or
areas where contributors are especially needed, I’d love to jump in. Also,
any guidance on aligning with current development efforts or even applying
for OSFF grants would be incredibly helpful.
