I'm just getting started with bluetooth on my linux box, and I'm having a hard
time. After a few hours of reading webpages, I haven't been able to find an
answer to the following question.

How do I get my computer to pair with my new bluetooth headset?
Is there a command I'm supposed to run on the computer to initiate the pairing
process from that side, or is there a daemon that's supposed to be running on
the laptop which auto-detects when the headset tries to initiate pairing, and
automatically handles the laptop side of things?

Some details about my situation:
Debian x86
the hardware driver seems to be working, and "hcitool scan" sees the headset.
I don't use kde or gnome, and my window-manager doesn't have a "tray" or a
"dock".
I'm comfortable with (and almost prefer) a non-gui solution to this.
