Inquiry Power Level

Hi,
I am trying to set the inquiry transmit power level.
Using command hciconfig and get option inqtpl.
This configuration is depending bluetooth hardware ?
Command 1:
bc-00002:~# hciconfig hci0
hci0: Type: USB
BD Address: 00:11:E0:02:F7:3B ACL MTU: 384:8 SCO MTU: 64:8
UP RUNNING PSCAN ISCAN
RX bytes:1196 acl:0 sco:0 events:38 errors:0

Command 2:
bc-00002:~# hciconfig hci0 inqtpl
Can't read inquiry transmit power level on hci0: Input/output error (5)
