Hi bluez-users, We are looking for advice on how to use bluez (hcid, its dbus API, hciconfig and hcitool) to perform the following: - Configure hcid to operate in Security modes 1 and 2 (as per the Bluetooth spec). - Perform a limited (not general) inquiry. - Control whether bonding is done as dedicated bonding or general bonding (actually i'm not clear from the spec what the difference really is). What type of bonding does bluez perform by default when using the DBUS CreateBonding API? Can we coerce it to perform the other type? These operations are all (loosely) defined in the Bluetooth spec, we are wondering how they map to the bluez world.
