Web site comes up but shows this at top. 27 September 2024 -- BusyBox 1.37.0 (unstable) BusyBox 1.37.0. (git, patches, how to add a patch) So seems very old? Nothing of 1.38 git. Latest successful download and clone I got produced. BusyBox v1.38.0.git (2026-03-21 18:57:05 ChST) multi-call binary. BusyBox is copyrighted by many authors between 1998-2015. But success is random and mostly fails. Latest attemp. Cloning into 'busybox'... fatal: unable to connect to busybox.net: busybox.net[0: 140.211.167.122]: errno=Connection timed out real 2m15.865s Appears to be hosted by University of Oregon. # whois 140.211.167.122 [Querying whois.arin.net] [whois.arin.net] NetRange: 140.211.0.0 - 140.211.255.255 CIDR: 140.211.0.0/16 NetName: NERONET NetHandle: NET-140-211-0-0-1 Parent: NET140 (NET-140-0-0-0-0) NetType: Direct Allocation OriginAS: Organization: University of Oregon (UNIVER-193) RegDate: 1990-06-11 Updated: 2021-12-14 Ref: https://rdap.arin.net/registry/ip/140.211.0.0 Just tried now, and it worked. Port didn't show filtered? But then tried again, and port is showing filtered? $ nmap git.busybox.net busybox.net busybox.osuosl.org -Pn -p80 -reason Starting Nmap 7.92 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2026-03-22 08:57 ChST Nmap scan report for git.busybox.net (140.211.167.122) Host is up, received user-set. rDNS record for 140.211.167.122: busybox.osuosl.org PORT STATE SERVICE REASON 80/tcp filtered http no-response Nmap scan report for busybox.net (140.211.167.122) Host is up, received user-set. rDNS record for 140.211.167.122: busybox.osuosl.org PORT STATE SERVICE REASON 80/tcp filtered http no-response Nmap scan report for busybox.osuosl.org (140.211.167.122) Host is up, received user-set. Don't know if perhaps university is doing something causing issue. So, not sure what issue is, but seems something isn't correctly setup. +------------------------------------------------------------+ Michael D.
