Roberto, forgive me for my straightforward answer, but you are doing
some useless work here.

If you feel that you have some time and some interest to improve this
project on a regular basis, you'd better find the supporters, choose
an alternative name, fork this project, announce it on this list
(don't forget to mention the reasons why you decided to do the fork)
and on other sites dedicated to the open-source community, possibly
buy a domain name and run the official site of your fork and suggest
everybody joining you in your efforts. After that you have to review
every suggested change to the code base, provide feedback to the
contributors and then merge it to the upstream branch.

Right now, you are accumulating the random set of the suggested
changes on your branch without any review process, without any
understanding of criteria that you demand for the suggested code and
so on. That doesn't work this way in the OSS community.
