Evan,
This won't affect the interface the omtools use. This 'merely'
removes the node communications from the processes themselves and
centralizes it.

synchronicity between nodes, so it's very easy for a process to crash.

deamon. The daemon, kcomd, handles the communications instead of the
processes themselves doing it. The processes create packets and inform
kcomd they have a packet waiting, and kcomd takes it and sends it
appropriately. It receives packets and gives them to the processes
safely. It also written to be SMP and preempt safe. I'm currently
working on it and the foundation is mostly there.

I need help looking for bugs and bad design decisions on my part. I'll
start modifying the rest of the code to use it after that.

it is a major one so this should give a push to getting a working om-2.6
out the door by year's end.
