Did somebody test the oM2.6 on Opteron already ? (single core, dual core, or multi-processor or both) ? By having a first look to the documentation of the main motherboard vendor (K8SSA from Tyan), I may be wrong but it seems that a particularity of the multi-processor architecture of the Opteron involve specific memory for certain processor, eg: you have 2 processors, P1 and P2, and two memory slots groups. P1 can access the first group only, but P2 can access all slots. Hence, in this configuration, if a task is running on the P2 address space, only the processor P2 can have access to its specific data (which also means, only processor P2 can migrate this process ...). Is this situation already handled by openMosix, or does it have to be added on the todolist ? -- Florian Delizy ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
