Yes, even a simple loop will die occasionally when the program exits.
Sometimes I'll have to loop 100 times before I see the problem, other
times it'll fail 9 out of 10 times.

glibc-2.3.4-2

LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 is the temporary fix. I'm no longer able to spend
as much time on it as I was before so I definitely need help finding and
fixing this bug.
