No, I decided to use the 2.4.26-om1 kernel under Ubuntu 6.06.1 LTS on 
our production cluster for now, because I need to get on with my own 
research work. I've not given up on 2.4.34-om1, but I need the Beowulf 
to be stable. Interestingly, 2.4.34-om1 doesn't have the set_brk problem 
when migrating processes to a 2.4.26-om1 kernel, so I guess it's set_brk 
done by a process on a remote 2.4.34-om1 kernel that's the problem.

Have you tried 2.4.27-om1 from the ClusterKnoppix distro? There is some 
support for older SATA controllers. I started off with that before 
trying to compile 2.4.34-om1.

openmosix-devel list?

Yes, of course, but my priority right now is to have a stable production 
openMosix Beowulf cluster :-)
