Re: End-of-line or just carriage-return

Hi,

First off, 5:30 Tuesday sounds fine to me. The
convention site isn't small, so I guess you'd get
someone to put over the PA where it is, at the time?
Or do you think you'll be able to scrounge a room from
the organizers and put it up on the list tomorrow?

Second, Oregon is eight hours ahead of GMT. This is
going to make it hard for people in Europe to take
part, no matter what pat of Europe they're in or what
time of day we meet. My suggestion would be for those
in Europe to have an independent BOF and for the two
groups to then exchange ideas.

(It's easier to work out differences in ideas than
modify the topology of the planet.)

I don't like the idea of fragmenting the development,
but in the western side of Germany it would be
something like 8:30AM - one hour off from GMT. An
earlier meet would be impossibly early and later would
be into the 9-5 workday. It's bad, but as best as I
can see, all other times would be far worse.
Contradictory views very welcome, as I'd rather be
wrong and have a more inclusive BOF.

P.S. Sadly, SC|07 is in Reno, Nevada this year. This
means that not only will it be impractical to have
much of a European input on OpenMosix there, but I
seriously doubt many developers would have time or
money for what is a seriously expensive location. (If
anyone on the list will be there, we might want to
consider something to attract interest - even if it's
just a live CD.)
