2.4 or 2.6?

(I've tried the beta, but this gives me problems). I noticed that the beta was released almost 2 years ago and I am just wondering what the chances are that it will still be released - or is it possible that the project has simply expired? I know that I can try OpenMosix 2.4, but then of course I would have to regress to Fedora Core 1. Yet I am beginning to think I should perhaps start considering this possibility as my best course of action. Could someone advise me? Is the 2.6 project still moving?
