Hi,

Without trying to advertise my work colleges efforts included in The
openMosix Community page, Fremens openMosix benchmark tool is able to
spawn many small processes and now uses perl.

Invoke the tool with a TK based interface using the following:

./mosixtest-3.00 --tk

Then setting the number of processes to a very high number and the 2
loop values to a very low number should also have the desired effect.

Information can be found at http://www.xyz-network.com/ombenchmark
and can be downloaded from http://daniel.xyz-network.com/mosixtest/

If you dont have TK on your originating node, then the same effect can
be achieved by editing the script and changing the following:

# OSCG defaults
my $numProcs = 10; # change to a very high value
my $loop1 = 15000; # change to a very low value
my $loop2 = 500; # change to a very low value

Good Luck :)

Martin
