I think Dave is trying to do the opposite, ie. run multiple VMs in an
OM cluster, and not run a virtual OM cluster on multiple VMs.

Bochs is a CPU emulator, isn't it?  So it would probably be horribly
slow for CPU intensive work.  Did you look at Xen?  It supposedly has
even less overhead than VMWare , and IIRC, Xen also provides some
facility to migrate VMs.
