RE: segmentation faults

Paul,

Thanks, this was my problem.  I moved /lib/i686 and I still had seg
faults.  I looked at the binary with 'ldd' and saw that it was then
pointing to /lib/tls so I moved this directory as well.  Now it points
to /lib and things run fine.  This was on Redhat AS 3.

Hopefully doing away with /lib/i686 and /lib/tls won't cause problems in
other places.

Hi Richard,

I ran into the same type of thing upgrading from
2.4.19 to 2.4.24 (or any really) it turned out to be
to be related to libpthreads that are optimized for
i686.  I've moved the /lib/i686 and it "cured" my
problems.  My problems seemed to be a little more
sporadic that what you're experiencing but it's worth
a look.
