Altough the rpm creates a correct grub entry and an initrd , you still
have to recreate an appropriate initrd for your environment.

I build and test on Centos 4.2 so tht might not be the problem.

You need the Git repository these days :)

But unless you are an experienced openMosix user we don't advise to use
2.6 yet.  It is aimed at beta testers and developers.
