Since there has been no other reply so far, I take the liberty of "me
too"ing this.

I'm eager to try out OM, but at the moment, I'm waiting for AMD64
and Linux 2.6 support.  Now, if these aren't likely to happen
relatively soon, investing time and effort in a 2.4/x84 setup is more
attractive.
