Setup

Yo;

I'm new to openmosix, and am trying to get it setup. I've compiled
the patch for 2.6.12 from
http://openmosix.snarc.org/wiki/GetSourceByPatch into a vanilla
2.6.12.6 kernel on my Ubuntu 5.10 system. It built and booted without
a flaw.

But now when I try to ./configure openmosix-tools, which I assume is
the next step, I get:

checking /usr/src/linux-openmosix/include/hpc/comm.h usability... no
checking /usr/src/linux-openmosix/include/hpc/comm.h presence... no
checking for /usr/src/linux-openmosix/include/hpc/comm.h... no
configure: error: openMosix header files not found

The specified file is there and should be perfectly "usable."

I tried installing an older openmosix deb file. It messed up dpkg,
and rendered itself uninstallable. I tried installing the
openmosix-tools rpm over it with alien, forcing overwrite.

Both packages give me "This is NOT a openMosix system!" when I try to
run mosmon.

Frankly, I haven't a clue what I'm doing. Any help would be appreciated.
