Hi,

The error:
kernel panic: VFS :unable to mount root fs on 03:46?
has nothing to do with openMosix but is to do with what parameters you pass
to your kernel at boot (as per any kernel).

I have various root devices for my nodes to use on bootup and I rarely use
an initrd image to boot from, so as I use grub, my root partition is
explicitly set there.

A typical grub.conf (menu.1st)

default 0
timeout 30
splashimage=(hd0,0)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz

title=Linux 2.4.26-om1
root (hd0,0)
kernel /boot/bzImage-i386-2.4.26-om1 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc
ramdisk=8192 real_root=/dev/hda3

initrd /boot/initramfs-i386-2.4.26-om1

etc

Martin

PS... oops didnt send this to the list
