Before I began to build my system, I created a file package.mask to prevent gcc, glibc, and linux-headers from updating beyond the versions that were used in the original stage1 build to prevent errors during compiling the openmosix kernel. I also edited make.conf to use chost=i386-pc-linux-gnu, march=i386. I built everything based on the vanilla kernel 2.4.26. When my stage1 was finished, I patched the kernel for openmosix and it works. > I hope this helps. Could You send me your package.mask and make.conf You've used? btw. openmosix-kernel from gentoo has no problems with compiling - it has problems with starting/working - just to mention beacuase You wrote that You had problems with compiling after gcc upgrade. btw. What about openmosix 2.6 kernels? Anyone tryed ?
