I've decided to move to the "dark side" and install MOSIX, which does 
have a 2.4.32 kernel.  At first sight, it looks like everything is 
working OK.

Just a question: since the kernel part of MOSIX must be GPL, couldn't 
openMosix copy some MOSIX code to produce a working 2.4.32 openMosix kernel?
