Hello, Boris.

Yes SATA might be a problem, but the 'stable' openMosix kernel is 
linux-2.4.26-openmosix1. I'm booting it off SCSI disks OK, but I've 
recompiled the kernel to include the appropriate drivers built-in 
instead of using them as loadable modules. This makes the SCSI disk 
immediately available to the kernel for loading other modules etc.
