I've tried to do so, but after 3 hours of beating my head into the wall
trying to determine the differences and exactly where to manually apply
the changes, gave up. It's far easier to simply download the full
(already-patched) 2.4.26 kernel and configure lilo to dual-boot. I only
needed a cluster's power for a single project though, so this may not be
acceptable for your situation.

I take it that you're another slackware fan? :)
