I've been attempting to use a 2.4.27 openMosix kernel I compiled from the sources used to build the 2.4.27 migshm kernel for ClusterKnoppix: kernel-source-2.4.27-om-migshm-20040808_10.00.Custom_all.deb I downloaded it from: ftp://ftp.kulnet.kuleuven.ac.be/pub/mirror/clusterknoppix/ because I couldn't find the 'official' sources of the 'unstable' 2.4.27 openMosix kernel, now everyone seems to be working on the 2.6 kernel... I'd be grateful for pointers to the 2.4.27 openMosix kernel sources, and any advice about what is making my 2.4.27 kernel unstable on a cluster that runs rock-solid under 2.4.26 with or without the migshm patch? I used the same config as ClusterKnoppix, but with minor edits for Athlon K7 and to build low-level SCSI drivers into the kernel. I've compiled it with both gcc-3.2.2 and gcc-2.95:3, but the kernel is extremely unstable, and it keeps killing processes with e.g.: <1>Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000018 Sep 17 14:19:29 node58 kernel: printing eip: Sep 17 14:19:29 node58 kernel: c014e850 Sep 17 14:19:29 node58 kernel: *pde = 00000000 Sep 17 14:19:29 node58 kernel: Oops: 0000 ...
