Im not entirely sure on the entirety of your problem, and I don't use Red Hat or have any idea about the state of the rpm's. openMosixview is not needed for a functional openMosix setup and only provides some basic functionality from within a GUI on an already existing setup. As long as you are using the 2.4.26 oM kernel and using the corresponding user space tools, then everything is good to go. Is it just a problem with openMosixview or your openMosix tools/kernel? Maybe the openMosixview mailing lists can help with your problem - http://www.openmosixview.com/ Martin On 06/10/06, Nitin Chopra <[email protected]> wrote: > hello everybody! > > my problem is i have inalled openMosix on redhat 9 with kernel-2.4.26 > extension. but during installation it gave some errors when i m configuring > openmosixview-1.5 it is giving openmosixview-1.5 already installed and at the > end one error is coming. after rebootong the system i got the error > 1. socket not found > 2. kernel panic. > > plz help me out n give the solution. > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Take Surveys.
