Hi all,...
I have some questions arising from my inexperience about =
openmosixview+SSH :
How necessary for openmosixView is to have root-SSH-without-password? I =
mean, what does openmosixview use root-SSH-without-password for? I have =
a six-node cluster. We only logon to the masternode, and, accordingly, =
openmosixview is only installed on it. Do I really need =
root-SSH-without-password?
Another question is related to the /tmp/nodes.tmp file: When one of my =
system users runs openmosixview, it creates the file /tmp/nodes.tmp, =
owned by him/herself. Then, if another user tries to run openmosixview, =
he/she gets error messages ("/tmp/nodes.tmp: Permission denied"), and =
the openmosixview graphical displays opens up, but displaying wrong =
legends at the buttons where the nodes IPs must be displayed. The only =
way of having the correct IPs is deleting the other user's =
/tmp/nodes.tmp file. So only one user can have a correct display.
Also, I cannot run openmosixview as root, since I get the following =
error:
-------------------------------------------
Xlib: connection to ":0:0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified
openmosixview: cannot connect to X server :0
-----------------------------------------------
It is clear I'm a newbie... Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks =
in advance,
Javier.
