I compiled everything from scratch.
I am using qt-3.1.2

i guess yes. It never happened to me yet.

good, i really think that it is the old video card.
btw: which linux distibution are you running ?
did you compile from the source ?
I am not sure but maybe the older qt-version (e.g. 2.3.x) are not
using the openGL lib .....
