the openMosix-stress test won't make your nodes shutdown.
It must have another reason. Any messages in the logfiles ?

To make this messages disappear you just have to install
and configure passwordless "rsh" or "ssh" to all your cluster nodes.
Then you will also be able to enjoy the full functionalitly of
