Initial Comment:
In the 2.4 kernel, there is the ability to reopen
unlinked files on a remote node, using its file handle
rather than the pathname that is typically used. The
code for this exists on 2.6, in reop_export_path() and
reop_import_path(), but it's not working. It should be
fixed sometime.

For those who don't know, reopen is a part of process
migration. It automatically attaches the process' file
descriptors to the appropriate file-type object
(regular file, socket, pipe, device, etc.), even if the
object is on another node. The reopen code is also used
for sending file descriptors via Unix domain sockets to
a process on another node, and for opening a
/proc/<pid>/fd/ symlink that might point to a remote
object.

There are no related vproc fixes since 1.9.2.  Are we missing info in the
original bug report?  Or we accidentally fixed this in 1.9.2?
