Even better /cluster/node6/symlink/nodenum is a symlink to "6"

/cluster/symlink -> /cluster/node{nodenum}/symlink
/cluster/nodeX/symlink/nodenum -> X

So readlink ("/cluster/symlink/nodenum") returns X on node X.
