Hello,

I have been trying to install OpenSSI on a new 30-node cluster that I am trying to get set up. All of the nodes are 64-bit AMD /Xeons and all have 80Gig drives, 4 Gig RAM, as well as e1000 network cards as found by Debian Lenny.

The procedure that I have been using is at:

but OpenSSI does not get past step number 18 although Debian Lenny installs just fine and even establishes the network cards easily. At step number 18, when I reboot, then the system does not boot up and reports some messaages:

" ERROR: could not find NIC with a static node configured. Dynamically allocating an IP and node number.

Could not find the NIC used to add this node to the cluster.

Unable to continue. Halting."

But this time it said waiting for 5 seconds and then dropped to a prompt, but the prompt would not let me do anything and appeared frozen.

Please advise?

I have been looking at to LinuxSSI distros, (XtreemOS and OpenSSI) but actually like OpenSSI better
