Re: some words about oSSI and Xen?

Not that I've done this, but it would seem to me the benefit is in a 
multiple server environment:

If I have a number of servers (samba, apache, sendmail) in a corporate 
environment and I need more computing power for one app (samba) I need 
to put in a new, bigger samba server.

If I have a cluster with Xen, wouldn't samba use the available resources 
of the group (meaning computing power is now sized to the max combined 
workload rather than each server sized to the individual max workload of 
its application)?  I could have a heavy samba load during the day but 
not much with sendmail, and at night I process my spam and have a heavy 
sendmail workload -- instead of two really big machines to handle each 
applications peak load, Xen / SSI would spread it over the group.

It would also seem to make increases in computing power easier, adding 
more nodes to the cluster would give more room to the virtual servers 
without having to completely migrate to new hardware.

These ramblings have been completely untested due to too many other 
bright shiny things in my office, but any real world experience would be 
appreciated!
