I installed ssi with drbd support, both nodes under vmware
server. Second node boteed fine up via network, got drbd disk
synced. But after it, problems really start.
Second node won't come up properly. On console it says 'Starting
init', and some ok looking drbd messages. But it won't come up, waited
12 hours, and it's was not up.
cluste -v says:
Node 2:
State: COMINGUP
Previous state: NEVERUP
Reason for last transition: System
Last transition ID: 3
Last transition time: Sun Aug 27 10:53:17.597709 2006

I tried if node is someway ok. Did:
ssi1:~# dd if=/dev/zero of=/foo bs=1k count=100k
And sure, I could see there is network and disk activity on node2
also. So drbd is working. But soon it started complaining about lost
packets, and both nodes dropped to kernel debugger.
Rebooted node1, and after it node2. Node2 got kernel panic ('Kernel
panic - not syncing: Lost CLMS master while trying to join the
cluster!')
On second node2 boot it started resyncing drbd disk. Sync went ok, and
after it console was again like this:

This looks similar what is was after 12 hours. So I did that dd trick
again. Node2 said first two times 'nm_log_daemon: Missed 2 packets
from node 1'. Then node1 panicked, like this:
http://tavastisolutions.com/~tavasti/kuvia/ssi/node1_panic.png
This time it was totally frozen instead of kernel debugger.
And shortly after this, node2 panic also (for obvious reason)

Is there something wrong in my setup, or can I somehow help to find &
fix this problem? Should I be testing ssi on real machines instead of
vmware?
