Hi Roger -- I tried what you suggested -- removing combined, kernel and initrd from /tftpboot and rerunning ssi-ksync, but still have the same problem with the VM. I haven't tried yet with a physical machine, but will shortly. On the first problem (reop_import_path: no such path: /cluster/node1/dev/console and then a hang) I see the following /var/log/messages -- Sep 3 02:08:41 ssi1 dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:03:ff:04:9c:0d via eth0 Sep 3 02:08:41 ssi1 dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.2.42 to 00:03:ff:04:9c:0d via eth0 Sep 3 02:08:41 ssi1 dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.2.42 (192.168.2.41) from 00:03:ff:04:9c:0d via eth0 Sep 3 02:08:41 ssi1 dhcpd: DHCPACK on 192.168.2.42 to 00:03:ff:04:9c:0d via eth0 Sep 3 02:09:27 ssi1 kernel: nm_add_node: Node 2 added Sep 3 02:10:22 ssi1 init: cannot execute "/bin/sh" .... [root@ssi1 log]# which sh /bin/sh .... [root@ssi1 bin]# ls -l sh lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 Aug 30 20:26 sh -> bash [root@ssi1 bin]# Seems like a clue, but I don't know what it means. When tailing the /var/log/messages file, the "cannot execute /bin/sh" error occurs right when the console for the second node says "Starting init". I suppose that's obvious from the log... ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
