Stefan, I doubt anyone has any time to look at OpenSSI "stable"(*) these
days.

Give it a go with 1.9.1, or my pre 1.9.3 stuff
(http://www.atlantech.com/~john/openssi-debian-1.9.3) and we'll see what
we can do.
