I thought this was resolved ages ago. Fascinatingly, however, there  
was a bug in how the source control on the machine in question keeps  
Apache configuration files that was causing it to revert to the wiki- 
down-for-maintenance page automatically once a day.

This is now fixed. The wiki is up running the latest MediaWiki, most  
spam revisions have been expunged from the database, spambot users  
have been deleted, and there is a captcha in place. If you prefer to  
migrate the system elsewhere, however, let me know and I'll provide  
you with the database dump.
