Treating an OpenSSI cluster as a big NUMA machine shouldn't be _that_ difficult, but certainly not a walk in the park. Getting OpenSSI smooshed into any modern kernel would still be necessary, though. A stable target like RHEL/CentOS 5 is a good idea, but who has the time these days? :P
