Quite likely they are either:
- use System V shared memory
- pthreads based

or maybe...."live" not long enough...thus the benefit of migration is
very small...

Maybe there are other possibilities....so I might be totally wrong here.

NB: for monitoring load across nodes, have you tried ganglia or cacti?
maybe it's not as simple as top, but IMO it might serve you well.
