Also various bugs for installation using "DKMS" on other=20 systems have been weeded out. The old installation instructions in INSTALL.md have been rewritten for=20 modern systems, including sections on automatic installation via Akmods=20 or DKMS, and covering details such as signing modules with a Machine=20 Owner Key (MOK) (at least when using Akmods or DKMS, but I haven't added=20 information about signing modules for "manual" builds yet). It is best to read INSTALL.md online due to the use of Github-flavored=20 Markdown, or with an editor that can display Markdown text nicely,=20 otherwise you need to mentally ignore a lot of punctuation in the text! https://github.com/Linux-Comedi/comedi/blob/master/INSTALL.md > On Friday, June 20, 2025 at 4:07:44=E2=80=AFAM UTC-7 Ian Abbott wrote: >=20 > On 16/06/2025 15:24, A Asraoui wrote: > > hi, > > Running into ssl error during the install of comedi and wondering = if > > this is a known problem in rhel9 > > thanks! > > ./autogen.sh > > make > > make install > > make entering dir "/usr/local/comedi' > > > > make -I /usr/local/comedi/comedi -C /lib/modules/..../build M=3D/u= sr/ > > local/comedi/comedi \ > > =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 INSTALL_MOD_DIR=3Dcomedi \ > > =C2=A0 =C2=A0 =C2=A0 INSTALL_MOD_PATH=3D"/" modules_install > > make[4]: Entering directory '/usr/src/linix-xxxx > > =C2=A0 INSTALL //lib/modules/xxxx/comedit/comedi/comedi.ko > > =C2=A0 STRIP //lib/modules/xxxx/comedit/comedi/comedi.ko > > =C2=A0 SIGN //lib.modules/xxx/comedi/comedi.ko > > At main.c:171 > > -SSL error: Fxxxx:system library: No such file or directory: crypt= o/ > > bios/bss_file.c:67 > > -SSL_error:1xxxxx:BIO routines::no such file: crypto:/bio/ > bss_file.c:75 > > sign-file: ./certs/signing_key.pem >=20 > I can reproduce it.
