Repackaging already works in apt if you just set
rpm::options::="--repackage", current svn repository head also honors
the _repackage_all_erasures rpm configuration option.

For the actual rollback I haven't heard anybody working on that but if
you do, I'm certainly interested in that and could possibly help as
well.
