The new project sounds interesting,... and I'm sure if you have thought it up, it'll be pretty damn cool (I'm trying to guess which scripting language you've decided to use... :) Will external development be permitted on the new project? How well will it handle biarch support (the last missing piece in apt-get, I think) ? How does it compare to Conary, etc? Lots of questions since I've been thinking about going forward and writing an advanced package management project for my distribution. Oh, what about transaction rollback with exclusions? Or, update "groups", or... :) Maybe you could describe it a bit pre-press release...? :) Omar
