apt-get transaction crashed, now 200+ duplicates

During a heavy upgrade my laptop got off power and had the upgrade
transaction crash.

Now I have more than 200 double packages. What can I do?

I tried apt-get --reinstall, but it will block on the double
packages. I then tried adding -o RPM::Allow-Duplicated-Warning=false,
but then the packages become virtual and apt-get asks which one of
then to install.

I currently only see rpm -e --allmatches and apt-get install as a way
out. Is that true?
